Forest Retreats
Back in June, I had the wonderful opportunity to run a magical day retreat with Siobhan from @wellness.with.siobhan
My role was holding space at the fire, cooking the dinner and running nature crafting activities.
Spending time in nature is more than just a peaceful escape—it's essential for our well-being.
Research shows that connecting with nature can reduce stress, boost mood, and improve overall mental health.
One particularly fascinating aspect of this is the science behind tree hugging. Studies have shown that hugging trees or simply spending time in a forest can lower cortisol levels, increase feelings of calm, and even enhance immune function. This is due to the release of natural oils from trees, known as phytoncides, which have been found to have a positive impact on our health.
