“Forrest and I absolutely love coming to Roots to Oneness sessions in St Newlyn East. It’s such a beautiful way to spend the morning together in nature.

Laura always has such thoughtful and fun activities set up, with different stations that make it completely child-led, which I really love. Forrest can explore freely, moving from place to place, sometimes wandering off to play or chat to the chickens, which is so special to watch.

I really appreciate how the children are involved in preparing food and even get the opportunity to safely use tools to create little pieces we’ve been able to take home and treasure. The mud kitchen, treehouse and hammocks are definitely our favourites.

There’s also a lovely little barn to retreat to if it rains, but honestly the whole space is magical in all weather. It’s such a peaceful, calming environment with a really lovely community feel.

We feel so grateful to have something like this so close to home. Laura is an incredible facilitator, so warm and welcoming. It’s a truly special experience 💚”

“We’ve been attending Laura’s nature sessions for three years now and I can say it’s been a truly magical and inspiring experience. We are so excited to come back for spring term.

It's a beautiful community run by Laura who is amazing with all the children and it's a very relaxed atmosphere yet very enriching with plenty of learning opportunities.

My child is quite slow to warm and can get nervous in groups but always has the best time as he can take it at his own pace and has always connected so well with Laura.

The sessions have plenty of nature based activities but the children can also roam freely and play in their own way so I feel it really suits a whole range of needs.

Our favourite parts are; cooking things on the fire, woodwork, the treehouse, learning about plants and trees, the chickens and the community feel. There is so much to enjoy.

Laura is wonderful, I highly recommend her sessions!”

“We have been going to Laura’s sessions since my little girl was two she is now nearly five . We absolutely love it there and Laura is such a wonderful person to lead the group , the sessions are always so beautifully planned out with some activities if the children wish to participate but also a wonderful space to run free and enjoy just being out in nature . You always leave the session feeling better than when you arrived .and the sessions are such a chilled vibe and give you a real sense of being part of a community/village . My daughter loves spending time playing in the mud kitchen and the lovely tree house and when she needs to rest she likes to chill in the hammocks . She is very fond of a bonfire crumpet!

In short it’s a fantastic group for adults and children and I would highly recommend giving it a try.”

“I have been to Laura’s nature sessions with all three of my children and they have always been the highlight of our week. There is a wonderful sense of community as you sit around the fire eating food we have made as a group, listening to stories and looking at all the nature focused crafts everyone has made. My eldest loved the crafting with most, my middle child loved searching for bugs and the nature themed walks around site and my youngest loves playing in the mud kitchen and treehouse on site. Laura has also been a great support at the sessions when I had my third child and she was always willing to hold the youngest or play with the other children if I was struggling with overwhelm.

Laura’s sessions are fantastic and I would recommend them to anyone looking for outdoor, nature themed fun that will expand your parenting village and bring a mindful sense of calm to both parents and children.”
